About Al & the Business
Our unique specialty provides intense, dynamic, multi-faceted daily training sessions to prepare the elite athlete for serious competition. We also specialize in post-injury rehabilitation with referrals from the area's most prominent physicians and orthopedic surgeons. In addition, B.F.T. staff design and supervise early morning workouts for the busy professional. Our staff are certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and are under the direction of Dr. Al Biancani. The NSCA certifications are the only nationally accredited certifications in the United States. We also maintain an on-site Physical Therapist to assist as needed.

Al Biancani has been working in the field of athletics and fitness for over thirty years. A longtime resident of the Sacramento area, Al is a graduate of Notre Del Rio High School, American River Junior College, and Sacramento State University, where he was a standout All-City and All-American athlete in football and track. Al received his Ed.D. in Physical Education from Utah State in 1972. He has coached at the University level for many years, has numerous published works and has been a presenter at various national and international workshops, clinics and seminars.
Al started his own successful strength and conditioning business in 1985 working out of several different venues and currently calls 4551 Gateway Park, Natomas, CA his home base. Considering all of his experience in the field of athletics, it was not surprising when he became one of the first strength coaches in the NBA. He continues to work as a strength coach for the Sacramento Kings as well as the WNBA Sacramento Monarchs and CISL Sacramento Knights. His current business, Biancani Fitness Training, is responsible for aiding the feats of over 100 All-Americans and 150 High School All-City athletes as well as many professional baseball, basketball, football, soccer and boxing athletes. His business also includes a post-injury rehabilitation /work hardening program and executive personal training.
